Sunday 6th. May, 2018

And still the daffodils continue to bloom!

We have been continuing our Easter journey — enjoying discovering the particular message which each of the Gospel writers has to share with us — and reminding ourselves too that the earliest written account of the resurrection is to be found in Paul’s writing.

Last Sunday, because it was the fifth of the month, and therefore a special one, we departed from our usual programme to celebrate a Celtic Service of Holy Communion during which we also thought about those brave men and women who were responsible for bringing Christianity to our country and who have, in turn, passed on the torch to us. We stand in a fine tradition which goes right back to the earliest days of the resurrection but there have been many, many fine people in the story and we can learn from them.
